What do we eat everyday? 

Calorie yielding

                1.  Carbohydrate or 'carbs' in our diet: For example rice, pasta, bread, potato etc.

                One gram of carbs gives you 4 Calories.

                Alcohol belongs to the carb group but one gram of alcohol gives you 7 Calories.

                2.  Protein group

                One gram of protein gives you 4 Calories.

                3.  Fat group

                One gram of fat gives you nine gram of Calories.

Foods that do not add calories

                4. Minerals

                5. Vitamins

                6. Electrolytes

                This group does not give you the calories, but it is essential for our energy producing machine aka metabolism.
