Preparing a simple healthy dinner on Monday

Let's have three courses for the dinner.

A soup

A veggie

An entree with the meat

Soup of the day

Spray the pot with the canola oil to wet the pan. Put 1 spoon of grounded garlic, 1 spoon of grounded ginger , stir well till brown. Put four pieces of small chicken wings/pieces. Stir well to heat for few minutes. Pour two cups of water. Bring to a boil. Use one handful of frozen peas, carrots, corn in the soup. Before you serve, put fresh grounded peppers for the flavor.

Veggie of the day

Put two cups of water in a deep pan and boil. Put cut broccoli when the water is boiling. Strain from the boiling water back quickly before it get too tender. Discard the water. Spray the pan with the canola oil. Put a spoonful of garlic and roast till it turn light  brown. Mix the crisp boiled broccoli with the roasted garlic. Sprinkle a pinch of salt over it. Here you get your veggie of the day.

Entree of the day

Two- three table spoonful of grounded onion, one spoonful of grounded garlic, and one spoonful of grounded ginger in the cooking pan. Add two teaspoonful of canola oil and make the paste to light brown. Put a quarter tea spoonful of turmeric powder, and half tea spoonful of chili or paprika powder add to the paste. Put cut chicken pieces in the paste. Mix thoroughly in medium heat for 3- 5 minutes.  Put salt. Put a cup of water and bring it to a thick  chicken curry in low heat.

You can cook all three pans on three different stoves. Within thirty minutes, your dinner is ready.

Around the dinner table

A glassful of water for each.  Everybody start out with a small bowl of soup. A dinner plate should fill like this; a third with the meat, a third with the starch (rice or bread or pasta), a third with the veggie.

TIPS

Make sure you remember to thaw out a pre-pack meat in the morning before you go to work. Room tempearature thawing cooks better, and save time.

When you cook for double portions in the evening, you can pack lunch for you and your family too. I am always happy, when I have prepack lunch. It gives you more time during lunch break, you can even go out for the brisk walk.
